Financial Matters

The Susan Odell Taylor School has four payment plans for its families. Our payment plans are defined below.

Payment Plan I
Full year tuition is billed by May 1 and due on June 1, 2011.There is a 1% net discount for tuition paid in full by June 15, 2011. If tuition is not paid in full, the family will automatically be switched to Plan II.

Payment Plan II
Sixty percent of the full year’s tuition is billed and due on June 1, 2011 (before your child begins the school year). Forty percent balance is due January 1, 2012. Sibling discounts are applied to the second billing.

Payment Plan III
The full year’s tuition is due in 10 monthly direct debit installments beginning June 1, through Tuition Management Systems for a $45.00 application fee per family.

Payment Plan IV
The full year’s tuition is billed by May 1 and due in 12 equal monthly installments beginning June 1, through Tuition Management Systems for a $45.00 application fee per family  This payment plan must be executed by a direct debit payment plan.

Method of Payment
Cash, check, charge card (MasterCard or Visa), or money order payable to the Susan Odell Taylor School.

Financial Aid
Each year the Board of Directors allocates monies for the Financial Aid Committee to award to eligible current and prospective students who meet admissions and financial aid criteria. The Board of Trustees oversee the policies of this committee. The Financial Aid Committee grants financial aid awards on a non-discriminatory needs basis to eligible students kindergarten through 6th grade.

The initial inquiry form to apply for financial aid begins January 1st of each year. The application should be completed and submitted to school by mid-February of each year. The earlier the submissions the better.

The Susan Odell Taylor School has developed a Financial Aid Policy Manual for current families and families considering school enrollment. The manual is a useful resource for understanding the financial aid process.

Our tuition for the 2012/2013 school year is as follows:

Before Care and After Care
Before Care is offered on school days beginning at 7:15 AM for $8.00 per day. After care is offered on school days from 3:20 – 6:00 PM for $10.00 per day.  Fulltime PS/PK/K students can pay a yearly fee for after care, before care, or summer enrichment as part of the early childhood package plan. There is a $25.00 late charge per family if students are picked up after 6:00 PM. This program is not available when school is cancelled due to weather.  Charges incurred are billed monthly.  Occasional all day childcare sessions are offered during school breaks for $40.00 per day or $180 per week, due with reservation form.
