Greetings from Pre-K
I can not believe this time has come already. Spring is such a fun season and that is no exception in the PreK room. We have enjoyed the warmer weather and playing outside. We have also been very busy learning about outer space. Space travel has been fun in the rocket ship in our dramatic play area. This theme got off to a great start with a trip to Russell Sage College where we listened to space stories read by Dr. David Solomon. We looked through telescopes provided by Dr. Frank Vozzo. The children really loved exploring these fantastic tools!
We continue to learn about planets and other things in our galaxy as well as space travel and exploration. We read many great stories and completed many projects during this unit.
We will finish up this theme and prepare to move on to exploring the outdoors with a unit on pond life. We will explore the many creatures that call a pond their home. Following this unit we will explore Ocean Life, comparing and contrasting the two habitats. Our class is finishing up the year with a country study on Mexico as we anxiously await the return of monarchs! What an amazing year this has been!
We hope everyone enjoys a restful spring and summer.
